緣份, 是找到包容你的人

有一個男人, 為了參加第二天的小學同學會，特地上街, 買一條新長褲。 A man bought a new pair of trousers for his primary school mates’ reunion dinner. When he tried out at home, he found that the trousers were too long by 10cm. 他回家穿上後，卻發覺長度多了十公分。於是請求媽媽替他改。媽媽說，身體不舒服，想早一點休息,今晚不想改。 He asked his mother to help him shorten the pants. His mother said she could not do it as she was not feeling well and would like to rest early. 於是, 改請求太太替他改。太太說,還有許多家事要做，今晚沒有時間改。 So the man approached his wife to shorten his pants. His wife said she was very tired and had a lot of work to do that night, so she could not help him to shorten the pants that night. 於是, 改請求女兒替他改。女兒說，今晚跟男朋友約好去跳舞，沒有時間改。 Then the man asked his daughter. His daughter apologized for not able to do it that night because she had agreed to go dancing with her boyfriend 他想想，既然如此，明天穿舊的長褲去同學會也可以！ "Ah well!" The man thought and decided he could wear his old trousers to the reunion. 當天晚上，他媽媽心想：「兒子平時對我很孝順，他開口要求總不好拒絕他。」於是，起來替兒子改長褲，剪短了十公分。 Later that night, his mother thought to herself, "My son has been very nice to me. I ' ll just help him to shorten his pants before going to rest." So she shortened the pants by 10cm. 他太太稍晚做完家事, 心想：「老公平時很有耐心，今天他是不會縫針線才開口要求，總不好拒絕他.」於是替先生改長褲，剪短了十公分。 Then his wife finished her work and thought," My husband knows I am always very busy and seldom asked me to help him. I would oblige him today." So she shortened the man ' s pants by another 10cm. 他女兒晚上回來：「爸爸不阻止我去跳舞，實在是開明的老爸，今天實在應該替他修改長褲。」於是替爸爸改長褲，剪短了十公分。 His daughter came home from dancing, and thought, "Papa loves me very much and when I declined to shorten his pants, he was not angry at all! I would help him to shorten his pants." So she shortened her daddy ' s pants yet another 10cm. 第二天早上，三個女人分別告訴男主人此事。他一試長褲，已經變成吊腳褲了。 On the next day, the three ladies told the man that his pants were shortened. He tried them on and found that his pants had become shorter by 30cm! 他的反應「是...............」哈哈一笑，說：「我一定要穿去給同學看，告訴他們，我的媽媽、太太、和女兒對我多好。」 His reaction: He laughed heartily, and said, "I must wear this pair of pants to show my schoolmates that my mum, my wife and my daughter are such loving people." 結果，老同學們一致稱讚他家庭經營成功。他的媽媽、太太、和女兒也都很高興。 At the dinner, his old classmates were very envious of his loving family. His mother, wife and daughter were very happy to learn about his classmates ' reaction. 如果您是故事中的男人或女人，當下您會做何反應？「哈哈一笑」抑或「破口大罵」？ What would you do if it happened to you? Have a good laugh, or start swearing? 如果形容人類是一種「出門高E.Q，回家低E.Q」的動物，我想一點兒也不誇張。 Many of us have "High EQ" when dealing with people outside the family, "Low EQ" when dealing with our own family members! This is not an exaggeration at all. 人，面對外人時，總是可以表現得雍容大肚、心平氣和，但面對自己最親近的家人，卻往往一點小事,就足以皺起眉頭，甚至出言相傷。多拿出一點耐心與幽默感給家人吧！否則您自己也不會快樂，不是嗎？

工研院與中鋼攜手，廢熱回收發電超環保

煉鋼廢熱也能回收發電！工研院今年7月甫獲全球百大科技獎的「TEMM熱電材料及模組技術」是一針對低溫廢熱開發的中小型系統，利用模組上下兩端溫差發電，適用於溫度低於300℃之廢熱源回收，而且可與汽電共生及空氣預熱互補。

這項技術在經濟部技術處科技專案支持研發下，已在中鋼公司加熱爐壁建置200W級的小型示範熱電發電系統，在模組效率提升及系統最佳化設計後將陸續擴大應用至中鋼其它爐體及廠區。

工研院材化所蘇宗粲所長表示，美日歐等國均積極投入工業廢熱及汽車廢熱等回收應用開發，以有效大幅降低二氧化碳排放量，全球目前熱電產品應用約有5億美元市場規模，預估2020年達30億美元，是一極具發展潛力的新興市場。

雖然目前已有汽電共生及廢熱鍋爐等高溫工業廢熱回收技術在使用，但佔絕大部分的300°C以下工業廢熱卻無有效的回收技術，以二氧化碳排放量較大的汽車、石化、鋼鐵、煉油及水泥等產業來看，雖已盡力進行廢熱回收，仍有相當高比例的低溫廢熱藉由煙道或爐壁排至大氣中，若利用熱電發電技術進行廢熱回收，將可大幅減少台灣碳排放量，還可兼具產生電力及節能功效。

中鋼公司技術副總王錫欽表示，目前內部與工研院在加熱爐壁進行小型應用回收合作，結合中鋼獨特的熱源產業特性及具備材料、熔煉及熱場分析的核心技術，建立中鋼的熱電發電技術，預期使中鋼低溫廢熱回收比例從現階段之0%提高至20%以上，達到節能、減碳與減廢的三重功效。

此外，「TEMM熱電材料與模組技術」除適用在鋼鐵廠，未來也可擴大在石化、水泥、陶瓷、造紙、焚化爐等產業進行廢熱回收應用，提昇相關產業能源使用效率，推動台灣產業邁向新應用階段，強化市場競爭力。

Buying signal appeared after Bernanke's QE3 announcement

2330 one of the heavy weighted company of TAIEX (Taiwan Capitalization Weighted Stock Index) showed the buying signal after Bernanke's QE3 announcement.

I believed this will raise TAIEX for a while. Perhaps the end of Oct. 2012.

Remove noise while adjusting the volume controller

Have you ever encountered the loud noise when you try to adjust the volume of any speaker?
I met that a lot in my life!
That won't trouble me after today. ;)

I googled this issue from the website.
And the answer is very very simple and easy.

All you need is one Q-Tips and 1ml or less of alcohol.

1. Turn off the power, of course.
2. Use the Q-Tips and get a little alcohol on it
3. Drip the alcohol to the bottom part of the volume controller (the part connect to panel) 
4. Adjust the volume controller from the lowest part to the loudest part one or two times.
5. And guess what, the noise is gone!
6. If its still there maybe there is really some problem with your volume controller.

Introduce Microsoft Office Live Meeting

Today I participated one Microsoft event.

It requires the participants to download Microsoft Office Live Meeting.

After looking over the functions and some features, I decided to write this article to let the other similar products have a standard or idea to follow.

This is the screenshot after I logged in.

The feedback part. I think this one is brilliant and useful. Use different color to indicate different requirement.

But for now, I think microsoft only leverage the Need Help.

The Attendees, display the attendees as a virtual meeting room.

You can also view the other attendees's name in this function.

The Shared Notes. I think this is also a good idea to share some notes to the other attendees.

The Handouts. I think this part is good, too. But unfortunately, I was not able to see this part any more during the session.

Q&A, this one many products offered, too. But it is more like a real situation, you raise your hand, and ask questions.

The Meeting, a summarized information of this meeting, press Exit if you want to escape from the meeting .

 

Voice & Video, I can control the volume my self.

 

Conclusion

Technology really helps and changes our life a lot.

I personally would recommend any business leverage Microsoft solution for the remote meeting purpose.

As of the other similar products, please include at least all the functions Microsoft provided.
